SHORT HAIR DON'T CARE!

I, like many other girls love and covet our hair, we obsess, fixate, streak. touch, brush, comb, smell and any other word you can think of to/on or about our hair lol. We use these small, tiny, protein, keratin, based strands as a vein crutch of sort. Your hair for some women can be a big confidence factor, if you don't have long pretty hair you don't feel beautiful or wanted. And if your hair isn't done to the nine's then forget about going out! The way I viewed hair came to a big halt about a year and half ago, I never would of thought that chopping it all off could give you such a confidence boost. I walked around with pretty much a bald head, and as freaked out as I was, it forced me to really love my face! that same face that was always blocked with a weave, or braids, or bangs all the time. You're forced to look at yourself and love yourself on a whole other level.  Once you've become one with yourself you can then go around singing loud and proud "I am not my hair" by India Arie or even "video" by India will do you some good. :)  I'm not condoning every women to go around trimming their hair off, I just want women to get rid of their beauty crutch,  do whatever you have to do to get yourself out of your comfort zone, and get comfortable with who you are.

RESTAURANT REVIEW: YARDBIRD SOUTHERN TABLE & BAR MIAMI BEACH

Yardbird Miami is one of my favorite places to get some Southern Cuisine. Think of down south food when you think of the menu: biscuits, fried chicken, watermelon, macaroni and cheese, chicken and waffles etc. It takes the country kitchen you would expect to see in places like Texas, Alabama and Georgia and drops it into Miami Beach. Only a few steps away from Lincoln Road mall. The staff is friendly and there is inside and outside seating perfect for a date or dinner with friends. Average cost per meal ranges about $30-40.

OOOOOOOH  my new obsession of the day is the gladiator sandals/heels I've been seeing lately. I'm a lover and hater of the style, and the only reason I hate is because I have really small calves :( so it's really hard for me to rock this look. But where there is a will there is a way, and I will get myself into something suitable for my small calves. But this gladiator style of shoe can instantly fiercify (yes i just made that up) an outfit. Style it with a mini dress something that will show off those gorgeous legs. So go get a pair!!! and go Roman on their butts!

SWEATY STYLE

In this fast-food, double, triple size it society, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is always important for everyone. Working out should be something everyone implements in their daily regimen not just someone who is deemed fat or obese. I always use to hear "you're naturally skinny why are you working out?" and it's simply because I want to keep my health in check and fitness. I personally know many skinny people who couldn't run up a flight of stairs without being winded, thats if they even made it to the top of those stairs. I was one of those people! that's why I made the conscious decision to exercise whenever I get the chance to, at least once a week.  If you take care of your body your body will take care of you in return, so get out there and get active! and you know I wouldn't be me if i didn't  show you how to keep it cute, Forever21 has a workout line that has really trendy work out apparel at  really low prices.

My stylista of the day goes to Solange knowles she's fierce, and I love that she's showing women that you don't have to wear tons of weave and extensions and fakery all the time to look good. I love a good weave, but sometimes effortless beauty is the best, rocking your own mane(hair). And her style is all her own she walks her own path with fashion, and thats why she is my stylista of the day.

This has got to be my funny of the day, with our generation everything that is wrong seems to be right. The more of a hot mess you are the more popular you become. So the new lingo for a ghetto hot mess is now shortened to a quick term called: "RATCHET".  Ratchet can be used as a verb, a noun, or an adjective it's a multiuser. But now they have stepped up the game, you can now wear ratchet! yes! there is ratchet apparel and jewelry for the inner ratchet in you.

WHITE JEANS!

A simple way to have a clean fresh look for the summer is wearing white! my favorite way to wear white is by wearing jeans. It's so easy to pair it with lots of fun colors and also neutrals.

A skinny white jean with a denim top and neutral shoe keeps it simple and cute.

A floral top with a pop of color from the shoe, keeps things light and bright. A statement bag is always a must when wearing white.

 Summer time is a great time to implement the nautical look, with fun stripes and anything yacht worthy.

So apparently being too good looking can be a crime, 3 men in the United Arab Emirates got kicked out of their countries festival for being too handsome. The authorities feared that the women attending the festival would not be able to control themselves and have immoral thoughts! As if the women in that country aren't controlled enough, now they're trying to control their thoughts, a women needs her fantasies! I know I fantasize about having a good looking,tall,funny,romantic, guy. I fantasize about him even when i'm on a date/talking with a guy that has none of those qualities, wishing I could just do that magical genie head nod(you know the one) and switch him out...(nods head and blinks)....DAMN! it didn't work. Give those women a break! They are covered up to their ankles and aren't allowed to show any independence, the least they can do is give them their eye candy!
